Sammy Ameobi is in the running for Sky Bet's Goal of the Month award for December 2016.
The nominations for the accolade are as follows:
Sammy Ameobi (Bolton Wanderers) v Gillingham
Picking the ball up in midfield, Ameobi strode forward, then stepped inside on the edge of the box and clipped an unstoppable shot into the far corner.
Ian Henderson (Rochdale) v Chesterfield
A prime example of vision and skill coming together. Henderson knew exactly what to do with Oliver Rathbone’s pass – curl it languidly, first time, into the top corner.
Gwion Edwards (Peterborough United) v Chesterfield
Edwards set off at pace as the ball dropped to him near the touchline. Dribbling past defenders, he then unleashed an angled drive which arrowed into the net.
Voting is now open on skysports.com
