Bolton Wanderers can announce that Lennie Lawrence has been appointed as assistant manager.
The 64-year-old joins Wanderers from Crystal Palace, where he had previously worked in the same role with Dougie Freedman.
“I’m delighted to have been able to bring Lennie in,” Freedman said. “He has a wealth of football experience and knowledge which will benefit us greatly moving forward.”
Brighton-born Lawrence’s career in the game currently spans over three decades.
Since 1978 he has managed Plymouth Argyle, Charlton Athletic, Middlesbrough, Bradford City, Luton Town, Grimsby Town and Cardiff City, during which time he became one of a select number of managers to have overseen over 1,000 games.
Lawrence then assumed director of football roles at both Bristol Rovers and Hereford United before being appointed as Freedman’s assistant at Selhurst Park in January 2011.
