Andre Moritz’s season looks to have been cut short after he sustained a hamstring injury in training.
The manager confirmed that the Brazilian had missed out altogether on the trip to face Charlton at The Valley after a setback in training.
And after further assessment it appears the attacking midfielder, who has netted seven goals this season, is unlikely to feature before the season comes to an end on May 3.
“We have to be careful with these little knocks,” Dougie Freedman said. “Andre Moritz tweaked his hamstring in the run up to the Charlton game and it very much looks like that could be him done for the season.”
Wanderers could also be without Alan Hutton and Medo Kamara for Tuesday’s game against Leicester City at the Reebok.
On-loan full-back Hutton was forced from the field of play with a knee complaint whilst Medo Kamara was absent with a stomach bug.
The manager confirmed both players would be assessed ahead of Tuesday’s game.
He added: “Alan hurt his knee during the game. He was then struggling on his recover runs so we had to take him off.
“We also lost Medo with a stomach bug so we’ll see what stage he’s at for the Leicester game.”
