The Football League have confirmed that experienced match official Brendan Malone will take charge of this weekend’s game at Vicarage Road.
Malone, based in Wiltshire, has refereed 13 games so far this season, handing out 33 yellows and one red. His last game in the Championship came at the beginning of October when Leicester City beat Yeovil by two goals to one at Huish Park.
Having spent the majority of his career refereeing in the lower reaches of English football, Saturday’s game in Hertfordshire will be the first time Malone has officiated a Bolton Wanderers fixture.
Neil Davies and Ian Fissenden will run the line, while Elliott Kaye will be the fourth official.
