Bolton Wanderers Football in the Community are continuing to work with The Prince's Trust on their 'Get Started With Football'(GSWF) courses.

The 'GSWF' courses are a great way in giving youngsters from the NEET (Not in Education, Employment or Training) group, recruited by Connexions their first steps onto the coaching ladder.

he week long course, gives the youngsters the opportunity to achieve the FA Junior Football Organisers Certifcate, and FA Emergency 1st Aid Qualifiaction. The group will also participate in workshops that help to raise awareness on Sexual Health and issues with Drug and Alchol misuse.

The week with the group leading various safe, and structured coaching sessions for a group of Primary School children at the JJB Power League, Blackburn.

On the week commencing 3rd November 2008, Football in the Community had a group of 11 youngsters from Bury on the 'GSWF' course, they completed the gruelling timetable below and all passed their Junior Football Orgainsers assessment at the end of the week.

Bolton Wanderers Football in the Community are invloved in the delivery of around 12 of these courses a year, with groups from Bolton, Bury, Blackpool and Rochdale areas in conjunction with the Football in the Commuity departments from their local professional Football Club.
