Post Match: BOLTON WANDERERS 0 - 0 Manchester City
GARY MEGSON felt like it was a case of two points lost as his Wanderers side were unable to break the deadlock in a scoreless draw against Manchester City.
Wanderers hit the woodwork and had several efforts cleared off the line. City had some chances too, but Megson's men dominated possession and were unfortunate not to leave the field with all three points.
And the Wanderers boss, although disappointed not to get the maximum, was pleased that the draw took them to within a point of Birmingham, who are fourth from bottom.
He said: "I think it was two points lost in terms of the chances we created and the amount of opportunities we had to create more chances; we hit the woodwork and had a couple cleared off the line.
"Territorially we have probably had the advantages. So, I would say it's two points lost in terms of that but it's certainly a point gained on the team immediately above us and the team immediately below us."
Meanwhile, the Wanderers boss is hoping that Ricardo Gardner is not set for a spell on the sidelines after being taken off with a rib injury prior to half time.
He added: "Ricardo Gardner had a knock to his ribs and is very sore. He'll have a scan on that and we'll know more when we get the results."
