Fly Your Flag At The Rovers Match

Posted on: Tue 14 Oct 2008

WANDERERS FANS everywhere are being urged to bring in their supporters' flags to decorate the Reebok Stadium's North Stand for this Saturday's local derby against Blackburn Rovers.

The fixture already promises to be an exciting occasion with the Club launching its inaugural fanzone ahead of the fixture.

Fans' Liaison Officer Tony Kelly said: "Whether you are a Wanderers fan in Farnworth or you support Gary Megson's men from Canada, we'd like our fans to dress the North Stand with their flags.

"The fanzone will be an exciting prelude to the game and we certainly want to continue that atmosphere within the Reebok Stadium come kick off.

"Fans can send in their flags or bring them down to the Stadium."

Supporters can drop in their flags at the North West Access Tunnel before the fixture and collect them after the game if they wish, or leave them in storage with the Club. For effect the flags need to be a minimum size of 2.5 metres by 2 metres.

Alternatively, supporters from overseas who are unable to attend the game can send them to:

Burnden Way

It is envisaged that the flags will continue to adorn the North Stand for the remainder of the season.
