Defender Nicky Hunt has joined Birmingham City on an emergency one-month loan deal.

The 25-year-old has helped to ease a right-back crisis at St Andrew's, where manager Alex McLeish is unable to call upon the injury stricken pair of Stuart Parnaby and Stephen Kelly.

Hunt has yet to make a first team appearance for Bolton this season, but has played in over 150 games for the club since making his debut against Sheffield United in 2001.

The former England U21 international is expected to go straight into the Birmingham squad for their Coca-Cola Championship clash at home to Coventry City on Monday evening.
