Woolfe Scores On Wrexham Bow

Posted on: Mon 17 Nov 2008

Nathan Woolfe had a debut to remember for Wrexham at the weekend as he netted a fine free-kick after only 15 minutes to help set up a 3-1 victory for the Robins away at Weymouth.

The winger, who will spend the next month on loan at the Racecourse Ground, played 80 minutes in his first game for the Conference outfit.

Woolfe has yet to make a competitive start for Bolton but sees his short spell with the Welsh club as a means of picking up vital first team experience.

Speaking to Wrexham's official website, Woolfe said: "It was great to get a start like that.

"Dean Saunders is a good manager, a good gaffer. I want to learn from people like that and take it back to Bolton.

"It's good experience. That's why I came to Wrexham, to play more professional first team football and it feels good."

Elsewhere, Nicky Hunt completed the full 90 minutes in Birmingham City's 3-2 home win against Charlton Athletic whilst Blerim Dzemaili started for Torino in their defeat against Catania in Serie A.
