Puy Says Oui: Sebastien Signs On

Posted on: Fri 09 Jan 2009

Wanderers have swooped to make their first signing of the January transfer window by landing central defender Sebastien Puygrenier.

The 26-year-old joins on-loan until the end of the season, subject to international clearance, from the 2008 UEFA Cup winners Zenit St Petersburg.

The tall Frenchman has a footballing background in his native homeland where he learnt his trade with Stade Rennais and AS Nancy prior to his move to the Russian giants last summer.

Puygrenier has made 15 appearances for Zenit since signing for the club and he also played a part in their 2-1 UEFA Super Cup victory over Manchester United in August.
