Fabrice Muamba has paid homage to Wanderers travelling contingent of supporters who made the trip to the Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.
Over 1,500 fans made the journey to the West Midlands on 17 coaches provided by the club, and the Wanderers midfielder feels that they all played a part in helping the team record a valuable point.
He said: "Once we scored our goal it was an end-to-end game and I think all the players enjoyed it. It was a good afternoon for our fans - they were brilliant and credit must go to them.
"They came here in their numbers and really gave us that push, even from the moment we came out to warm-up. It's just a shame we didn't have the cutting edge to get the three points for them."
Muamba was equally as pleased with his own personal performance after returning to the starting line-up at the expense of the injured Mark Davies.
He added: "Obviously it has been a long time since I started a game but I was determined to make my mark and stake a claim for my place by playing as well as I could. I think I have done my bit so hopefully I won't be dropped for the next game.
"It's not about Mark or anybody else, it's about me and playing my own game. It was unfortunate that Mark got an injury against Fulham but these things happen in football - all I can do is grab my opportunity and I think I did that."
