Bogdan: The Hard Work Starts Again
Posted on: Tue 07 Jul 2009
Two years ago Adam Bogdan was a budding goalkeeper looking for his break in the professional game.
The young Hungarian was touted for a place at Fred Barber's goalkeeper training camp and after an impressive week, Bolton Wanderers were convinced that his skills were worth a professional contract at the Reebok.
Over the course of the last 24 months Bogdan has been a regular feature in the reserve team and even made the substitutes' bench for the first team fixtures against Sunderland, Arsenal and Manchester United at the turn of the year.
On Monday, Bogdan returned for pre-season training as he began preparation for the start of the 2009/10 season.

Ahead of the second day of the goalkeeping training base in Cheshire, Bogdan reflected back on two years ago.
He recalled: "My agent said that there was a chance to come to Bolton and that the goalkeeping coach (Fred Barber) wanted to see me.
"I was fortunate that everything worked out, so it shows just how important a training camp like this can be. All the teams know about the work that goes on here.
"It's a very tough week for us goalkeepers because it involves three sessions a day. This week is about focusing on fitness and because it is a goalkeeping camp then we are going to improve our handling skills ready for the pre-season."
While Bogdan admits that his summer break came at a welcome time, he explained that he was soon eager to report back to the football club and link-up again with his team mates.

He said: "I had six weeks holiday which was great because I had the chance to go home, but over the course of the last week I have been raring to come back and start the hard work again.
"I had a good rest and I managed to keep myself in good condition by running, swimming and playing table tennis. I tried to do something every second day because I know how important it is to return in an excellent physical condition."
