Gretar Steinsson reported back for pre-season training on Wednesday morning ready to get to grips with the upcoming 2009/10 campaign.
Like with all players in the squad, the Icelander enjoyed a deserved summer break after his efforts last season, but aside from some rest and recuperation, Gretar has also been kept pretty busy over the last six weeks.
International duty, overseeing a football academy and a wedding were all top of Gretar's agenda in late May and June, as he exclusively told the official club website.
The right-back said: "My summer started with the two international games against Holland and Macedonia. The second game was very special because I captained my country for the first time in my career - it was a very proud moment.

"My wife and I also had a celebration because we had our second wedding. Our first ceremony was in Holland, so we did it properly this time back in Iceland with all our family at a big party.
"We also had a short break in Barcelona and I had my football academy in Iceland, which I run with Bolton Wanderers. We had 130 children on the course back in my hometown - it's getting bigger every year and it's something that I want to continue in the future. It's helping to make the name of Bolton Wanderers even bigger in Iceland.
"I also found time to take it is easy, but I did some activities to keep myself ticking over. I've always been a natural athlete so I don't normally have any problems. It's also really important to shut off for a couple of weeks so that you are fully motivated for when you come back to work.
"Over the last week though, I was itching to come back. I was reading the newspapers every day to read about all the football gossip.

"It's good to be back to see all the lads because we have more or less got the same squad as last season apart from the few players who were on loan have gone back to their clubs. Sean has joined us too, which is fantastic.
"We have got a young team with experienced players and everyone is looking forward to the future. It takes time to build a new team and there are high hopes for this season."
The coaching staff and players will depart for Austria on Saturday for a week of intense pre-season training.
It is the second year in succession that the Wanderers squad has headed to the complex, and Steinsson knows exactly what to expect.
Gretar revealed: "It's going to be really tough and I'm going to take it one day at a time, especially in Austria. We have been back for a couple of days now and everyone is starting to get the bit between their teeth.
"It's important to go to Austria and work hard not just individually but also as a team. It was hard last year but we definitely reaped the benefits because everyone came back in a fit condition, both physically and mentally.
"These next few weeks are all about getting the team together and to be prepared for the first game of the season, which we will be."
