Gary Cahill has been added to the England squad for the forthcoming fixtures against Slovenia and Croatia.

It is the defender's second senior call-up, following his inclusion in Fabio Capello's squad for the World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Andorra in June.

England tackle Slovenia in a friendly at Wembley this Saturday (September 5) before Croatia are the visitors to the national stadium a week on Wednesday (September 9) in a Group 6 World Cup qualifier.

Coincidently, Cahill will be in the opposing squad to Wanderers' latest signing Ivan Klasnic, who has been named in Croatia's 23-man party.

Cahill has travelled to the England training base to link up with the rest of his international colleagues.
