Gary Cahill believes that Wanderers' performance on Saturday afternoon will stand them in good stead for a busy fixture schedule throughout December.

The centre-half produced a typically commanding display at Craven Cottage, and he reckons that the it is only a matter of time before Bolton return to winning ways following the gutsy second half showing against Fulham.

"It's about hard work and when things aren't going too well then that's all that you can do, and all of the players did that on Saturday," Cahill exclusively told Wanderers Player.

"The manager is pleased with our efforts because we have obviously been through a difficult period over the last month. But I would rather go on at run like that at this stage of the season than towards the end.

"We have done it before when we have been on a lean spell and we have been together and we always come out at the other end, and I'm sure that it will be no different this time.

"But Saturday was a lot better performance and we have got some good games coming up over Christmas and it will be important that the league table looks different for us come January."
