BOLTON WANDERERS Football Club is offering its support for the Tickets For Troops initiative.
The Club will provide 100 tickets for British servicemen and women for each of its Barclays Premier League fixtures at the Reebok Stadium for the remainder of the 2009/2010 campaign.
Wanderers' captain Kevin Davies said: "The Club has always had a good relationship with the Armed Forces and its servicemen and women, and we are naturally pleased to give our backing to this scheme."
The Club will launch the scheme for our next Barclays Premier League home fixture against Hull City on Tuesday 29 December 2009.
The Tickets for Troops scheme will see free tickets for a multitude of sporting and entertainment events handed out to soldiers who have served in Iraq and Afghanistan. Troops need to pay just £1, which will be donated to charity, to use this independent service, which can be accessed at www.ticketsfortroops.org.uk
A spokesperson for Tickets for Troops said: "We do not believe there is any better way to show our nation's thanks and recognition for the work that our Armed Forces routinely do. This is a small way of saying thank-you. We have been overwhelmed by the support we have received and the huge number of offers of tickets for major events."
