Chris Evans has praised the staff at the football club for the support that they have offered to the playing squad during the cold snap that is currently striking throughout the country.
The Assistant Manager believes that preparation and anticipation has been key over the last few weeks when games against Wigan Athletic, Arsenal and Sunderland have fallen victim to the weather.
Despite the snow and icy conditions, Evans explained that the training schedule has suffered minimal disruption and that the players are in peak physical condition.
He said: "The Nutritionist John Williams and the Strength and Fitness Coach Ade Stovell have been hugely important with regards to the general health of the squad. We all know that the body's defence mechanism can fall in this type of weather and we have recognised that.
"In early December, measures were put in place where every single member of the playing squad was given a supplementation programme to make sure that their immune system was topped up and that's obviously paid dividends.
"We've got a full squad of players available and Ade Stovell has worked the players really hard to make sure that their fitness levels and mental capacity is at an optimum.
"Due credit has also got to be given to not just the football staff but the Reebok Stadium and ground staff. The preparation of the pitch has been fantastic and with one phone call, the under soil heating has been on and we've been able to train on it.
"We had a really good session on Thursday because it was what the players needed. You have to be careful that you keep fresh and don't get hotel syndrome where too much time is spent indoors where it is all nice and warm. Footballers do their work in all elements and we are all now fired up and ready to go in the next game.
"All in all, I do feel that during this period a good job has been done everyone who is concerned."
