Wanderers 'Holden' On To Stuart
Bolton Wanderers have completed the signing of Stuart Holden, subject to international clearance.
The American international has impressed during a recent trial at the club and has penned a deal until the end of the season.
Manager Owen Coyle said: "Stuart has been training with us and he has done well. He has a great energy and desire, and he wants to show that he can play in the best league in the world, so he is a young man with a point to prove."
Holden, who was born in Scotland, arrives at the Reebok with the reputation as an attack-minded midfielder, who has spent the vast majority of his career in the MLS.
The 24-year-old has represented Houston Dynamo for the last three-and-a-half years, helping the Texas-based club to become the MLS Cup Winners in 2006.
Holden has an international pedigree having scored two goals in 12 caps for the United States and is on course to be named in Bob Bradley's squad for the upcoming World Cup in South Africa.
