Vladimir Weiss believes that his loan deal at Bolton Wanderers will benefit all parties involved.

The 20-year-old Slovakian, who made his debut for the Whites in the final stages of the 1-0 victory over Burnley, will spend the remainder of the season at the Reebok Stadium after joining from high flying Manchester City.

Weiss is confident that he can help his new team climb the Premier League table over the course of the next four months, gaining important experience and game-time in the process ahead of this summer's World Cup.

The midfield ace said: "I was with the team for only one training session before the game so I didn't expect to start, but I was happy to get those two or three minutes and to get introduced in the ground. I'm really happy to come here because it is a great club and with the players that are here then we will do well.

"I've got the World Cup coming up this summer so I'm hoping that I can get some games and experience before then and that I can help Bolton in the right way. It is something special because it is the first time that Slovakia have qualified and I want to be part of it, so I had to get some games.

"I haven't played a full first team game for a long time because of the quality of players that Manchester City have. I wanted to get on loan for a few months but I couldn't because of the transfer window, but obviously it has now opened and I could move to other Premier League teams.

"Wigan and Bolton showed an interest and after I spoke to the manager Owen Coyle, I knew that I wanted to come here. He tries to play football and that's what I like, so I think I will do really well at the club."
