Steinsson: Let's Put Things Right

Posted on: Wed 10 Mar 2010

Gretar Steinsson insists that the disappointment of the defeat against Sunderland will act as extra motivation when Wanderers return to action against Wigan Athletic on Saturday afternoon.

Bolton will be back on home soil after two successive away trips at the opposite end of the country, and the Icelandic defender is confident that the 4-0 loss at the Stadium of Light was only a minor set-back.

"We showed character as we tried to come back from conceding the early goal, playing some good football for long periods in the game." said Steinsson as he looked back on Tuesday evening's contest in the North East.

He added: "We have to step up and take responsibility and get the results that we need. We got a great result against Wolves and a fantastic one against West Ham, and the players will give everything they have got to get back on track.

"It's going to be a massive derby game and everyone is determined to get things right. We know the fans are behind us and their support is important."
