Owen Coyle is delighted to welcome two important players back to his Wanderers squad for this weekend's game against Everton, but has admitted that the game at Goodison Park might come too soon for Gary Cahill.
Mark Davies is back fit after a recent ankle problem and Sam Ricketts is now also available for selection following the enforced one-match suspension after his red card at Sunderland.
"Having one or two players back is a nice problem to have," said the Manager.
"Sam (Ricketts) has been outstanding since day one because he has played in three different positions for me.
Mark (Davies) trained a few days last week but I was wary that last time when he had an ankle knock that he came on at Blackburn and it set him back again.
"We have to make sure that we have him fit for the remainder of the season because he is a young player that I have tremendous belief in.
"As people are aware, Gary (Cahill) is back training and he has gone about his work ever so well at a high standard, which I have to come to expect from him anyway.
"He would have loved to have played last week, but that is testament to the man because he wants to get his career back on track.
"We've been delighted with his training and he is getting better by the day, although Saturday might come a little too soon for him. As a manager, I have to make sure that the time is right for Gary when he does come back in.
"But he is continuing in the right direction, which is a tremendous boost for Gary first and foremost, secondly for our football club and thirdly for England."
