Coyle: We Have To Be At Our Best

Posted on: Thu 18 Mar 2010
With three wins from their last four Premier League outings, Owen Coyle believes that Bolton will head to Everton on Saturday in high spirits.

The Whites recorded their biggest Premier League win of the season last weekend against neighbours Wigan Athletic, but the Manager says that those standards will have to be replicated if they are to earn anything from the trip to Goodison Park.

Everton have won their last six home matches in the top-flight and have climbed up to ninth position in the league table.

Coyle explained: "It's always the same in football - if you win a game then there is a great feeling around the club.

"Last weekend was a valuable three points but we are all grounded, we don't get carried away and we recognise that there is plenty of work ahead of us.

"Everyone at this club is working hard collectively and that is what we need because we have plenty of big games coming up, starting this Saturday.

"I think it's fair to say that Everton are one of, if not the, form team in the division.

"They have been playing particularly well at home and have turned over Manchester United and Chelsea in recent times, so we are under no illusions how difficult the task will be.

"David Moyes is a pal of mine and someone that I have a lot of time for. He is a top-class manager, so we know that we are going to have to be at our best to get anything from the afternoon.

"But it is a game that we are looking forward to and Goodison Park a place that, when you are at your best, you can get points from."
