Cohen: A Team Effort

Posted on: Fri 19 Mar 2010

Tamir Cohen is confident that Wanderers can take their recent home form on the road when they travel to Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

The Israel midfielder, who returned to the team after suspension against Wigan, acknowledges that although the Premier League table makes for good reading after three wins from four, there is still plenty of hard work ahead.

However he believes that they can continue the momentum given the team spirit that is currently within the squad.

"We've taken nine points from a possible 12, so that is very good. But we are still not safe from relegation yet," stated Cohen.

"We have got some really tough games in the next four weeks but we need to take some points, especially at home.

"I think we are four points off 11th and I think that we can achieve this.

"We have a very tough game against Everton, especially because it is at their ground, but if we do everything right I believe we can get something there.

"Everyone is playing together - it is not just about one player. We win together and we lose together and that is what is so special about this football club.

"Individual players come together to make a group. We knit together. You play for your mates."

It has been ten weeks since Owen Coyle was appointed as manager of Bolton, and Cohen reckons that his ideas and methods on the training ground have started to come to fruition on a matchday.

The 26-year-old added: "It was a hard start for the new manager because we played some very tough games but now we are showing some good things for him, collecting the points, and I hope we can continue to do that for the next couple of games.

"It shows how good we have become in the last three or four games, how good the results have been in the last month.

"We have to look as high as we can right now. If we don't then in the next month we'll slip back down the league table."
