Wanderers' defender Andy O'Brien says the team were disappointed by the result at Everton on Saturday but not disheartened.
The former Republic of Ireland international retained his spot in the heart of central defence following last week's 4-0 victory over Wigan Athletic.
Bolton kept Everton's forward line quiet up until the contest's big turning point - Gretar Steinsson's red card.
And O'Brien believes that they were unlucky not to come away with a point.
"We had some very good chances and played some nice football, so the manner in which we conceded was disappointing, and I believe there was a question of whether or not it was offside," explained O'Brien.
"There is no doubt about it, we had made it difficult and frustrated them, which was part of our game plan, so naturally we are disappointed to have come away on the wrong end of the result.
"We have shown that we are a difficult team to play against, and we are creating a lot of chances and opportunities and we did that again at the weekend. We now have to build on that for our next game back at the Reebok."
