Wanderers fought off a lot of competition to sign the talented midfielder in January 2008.
After recovering from a broken toe sustained in only the second league match of the season at Newcastle United, Wanderers' left-sided midfielder recovered to kick-start his season with a bang by coming off the bench to score a stunning free-kick against West Ham United.
Nine more goals followed from either the boot or head of the number seven, all superb on their individual merits, most notably a stunning volley against his former club Portsmouth and another delicious set-piece strike against the Hammers.
Like Cahill, Taylor has also been touted for England honours after producing some consistent form during his time with the club.
He continues to be a prolific maker and scorer of goals.
