Mark Davies' main contributions last season have been goals against Tranmere Rovers and Lincoln City in the Carling Cup and FA Cup respectively.
The midfielder has been a regular fixture in the squad since the turn of the 2010, making nine appearances in the 2009/10 season since Owen Coyle was appointed as manager.
And it could have been more if it had not been for an ankle injury sustained in the clash with Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium in the middle of January, which kept the diminutive midfielder out of action for a number of weeks.
The Bolton boss has earmarked the 22-year-old as an exciting prospect for the future.
Davies moved to Bolton in January, 2009, after the Whites struck a deal with Wolverhampton Wanderers for his services.
The starlet had been on loan at Leicester City during the first half of the 2008/09 season - scoring three goals in ten appearances to help the Foxes reach the summit of League One.
Davies was originally a product of the youth academy at Wolves but rose through the ranks to make his first team debut against Leeds United in August 2005. He went on to make a total of 35 appearances for the Black Country outfit.
He made his first appearance for Wanderers in January 2009, as a second half substitute in the 2-2 draw with Blackburn Rovers, and was subsequently handed his full debut three days later in the home victory over Tottenham Hotspur.
