Tamir Cohen joined the club during the 2008 January transfer window in a £650,000 deal from Maccabi Netanya.

He spent the early part of his career at Maccabi Tel Aviv, making his first team debut in 2002, before moving on to Maccabi Netanya five years later.

In his first season at the Reebok, Cohen made 11 appearances in the Wanderers first team.

However, his second season with the club was blighted by injury and he ended up spending five months on the sidelines with a persistent thigh problem.

He eventually returned to the fold in the final couple of months of that campaign, earning his first start against Aston Villa on April 25 and promptly stole the show with a vibrant midfield performance, culminating in a neatly taken equalizer to earn Bolton a vital point.

He celebrated that goal by saluting his friends and family, who were sat in the West Stand, after he had been handed a 'lucky shekel' to put down his sock.

Cohen has been one of Wanderers' most consistent performers during the 2009/10 campaign, weighing in with a number of important goals from midfield, and he is hoping to become a big part of manager Owen Coyle's future plans.
