Wanderers landed Portuguese striker Ariza Makukula in the 2009 January transfer window.
The Benfica hitman, who is of Congolese descent, inked a loan deal at the Reebok until the end of the season.
Makukula arrived in England with the reputation as a powerful centre-forward with an eye for goal having shot to prominence in Spain, where he netted 35 times in 98 appearances in the top two divisions.
The 27-year-old was originally a product of the youth system of Vitoria Guimaraes, who Wanderers drew 1-1 with during the 2005/06 UEFA Cup campaign.
He has also gone on to play for Leganes, Nantes, Valladolid, Gimnastic de Tarragona and Maritimo prior to his move to Portuguese giants Benfica 12 months ago.
Makukula also has international recognition having won four caps for his country. He made a fantastic start to his Portugal career by scoring on his debut in their 2-1 victory over Kazakhstan in October 2007.
