The Swiss international suffered a cruciate ligament injury shortly after penning a pre-contract agreement with the Club in January 2007. After receiving surgery and convalescing, he made his long-awaited Wanderers debut in the FA Cup third round defeat at home to Sheffield United.
After finding first team opportunities limited at the Reebok, Blerim joined Italian Serie A giants Torino on a one-year loan deal on the final day of the 2008 summer transfer window.
