The tall, athletic midfielder joined Wanderers from Birmingham City in the summer of 2008 in a deal worth over £5m and has since established himself as a regular in central midfield.
Muamba featured in all of the Whites' matches last season in some capacity, but is still searching for his elusive first goal for the club.
A product of Arsenal's famed youth Academy, the 21-year-old has represented England at every youth level, from under 16 to 21, and will be hoping that a starring spell with Wanderers can propel him to full honours.
