The popular midfielder blossomed in his second season at the Reebok, playing in virtually every first-team match.
The former Arsenal and Birmingham player has continued his fine form from the 2009 summer's U21 European Championships - where England reached the final - by producing some commanding performances in the centre of midfield.
Muamba notched his first goal for the Whites in the 4-0 victory over Wigan in March and has already scooped the third prize in the BWSA's vote for Player of the Year for the 2009/10 season.
The tall, athletic midfielder joined Wanderers from Birmingham City in the summer of 2008 in a deal worth over £5m and has since established himself as a first-choice in central midfield.
A product of Arsenal's famed youth Academy, the 21-year-old has represented England at every youth level, from under 16 to 21, and will be hoping that a starring spell with Wanderers can propel him to full honours.
