The 18-year-old, who is rated as one of the hottest prospects in English football, joined the Super Whites from Arsenal until the end of the season in the January transfer window.
Wilshere arrives at the Reebok Stadium with the reputation as an elegant attack-minded midfielder who has represented England at every level between the U16s and U21s.
The Stevenage-born teenager became the youngest player ever to represent Arsenal when he took to the field against Blackburn Rovers in September 2008, aged just 16 years and 256 days.
He has since gone on to make a total of 15 appearances for the Gunners, scoring one goal against Sheffield United in last season's Carling Cup.
He made his Wanderers debut in the 2-0 defeat to Manchester City on 9 February, 2010.
