Liverpool Reserves 3 Bolton Reserves 4
A last gasp winner by hat-trick hero Ariza Makukula ensured Wanderers shaded a seven-goal thriller at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
The on-loan Portuguese striker hit three goals to help his side claim a 4-3 win over Liverpool, a result which leaves the Merseysiders rooted to the bottom of the Premier Reserve League North.
Tamir Cohen also got on the scoresheet in a match where no less than seven members of Wanderers first team got 90 minutes of action.
Liverpool midfielder Jay Spearing put his team ahead with a little over two minutes on the clock when he slid the ball past Ali Al Habsi after latching onto a neat through pass.
But the lead lasted only 12 minutes as Makukula claimed his first of the evening with a sublime finish past goalkeeper Martin Hansen following an error in defence by Stephen Darby.
The hosts soon regained the advantage when Spearing once again found the net, this time firing into the bottom corner following an intricate build-up with his midfield colleagues.
However, once again Alan Cork's men restored parity when Tamir Cohen stooped to head home an equaliser from a corner five minutes before half-time.
But that wasn't the end of the scoring in the first period as Spearing completed his hat-trick from the penalty spot after Nemeth had taken a tumble inside the area.
After the break Wanderers turned the game on its head as they grabbed two goals without reply to ensure all three points came back to Bolton.
Makukula notched his second of the evening on 65 minutes when he followed up after his original attempt had struck the crossbar, before he grabbed the all-important winner two minutes from time when he seized on a defensive mix-up.
The result leaves Wanderers will a fina tally of 21 points from their 20 matches, which includes six victories.
