Bolton Reserves 0 Liverpool Reserves 2
Bolton Wanderers second string exited the Lancashire Senior Cup at the quarter-final stage after slipping to a 2-0 defeat against Liverpool at the County Ground.
Goals from David Amoo and Damien Plessis secured the victory for the Reds, just two days after their first team won by the same margin at Anfield.
Bolton had opportunities in the first-half with Aaron Mooy forcing a fine save from goalkeeper Peter Gulacsi with a free-kick from distance, while Rhys Bennett also saw a close-range header excellently repelled.
Wanderers' own Hungarian stopper, Adam Bogdan, was also in action, thwarting Alex Kacaniklic's low shot, but there was nothing he could do to prevent Amoo notching the opening goal in the 41st minute when the striker finished David Pacheco's assist after he rounded the 22-year-old.
Javlon Campbell had a decent opportunity in the second-half and Pacheco also saw a long distance lob fly just wide of the target.
Liverpool sealed the win five minutes before full-time when Plessis converted Amoo's cross as Wanderers pressed for an equaliser.
The Merseysiders will now face Wigan Athletic in the semi-final.
