WANDERERS' manager Sammy Lee has confirmed that he is keeping tabs on two potential signings during the club's week-long training camp in Austria.

The Bolton boss is to invite Spanish midfielder Mikel Alonso and Swiss winger David Degen to the training camp with a view to signing the duo for next season.

Alonso, 27, is the older brother of Liverpool's Xabi Alonso. The creative midfielder currently plays for Real Sociedad in La Liga. Last season he made 18 appearances and has been at the Basque club since 2002.

Degen is a creative right-sided winger, who currently players in the Bundesliga for Borussia Monchengladbach.. The 24 year-old Swiss international played 18 times for Borussia last season, but couldn't prevent the Club being relegated from the top-flight. Prior to his spell in Germany, Degen played four seasons for FC Basel in Switzerland under former Spurs manager Christian Gross. He has represented Switzerland at under 20, 21 and senior level respectively and was selected for the Swiss 2006 World Cup squad.

Commenting on the two players, Wanderers' manager Sammy Lee said:

"I am joping to invite the two players over to Austria with the rest of the first team squad so we can have a good look at them. Both players could interest us for next season.

"Mikel (Alonso) is a creative midfielder who has an excellent passing game similar to his brother Xabi, who plays at Liverpool. David (Degen) likes to play wide-right and exploit the flanks. He has a good turn of pace, which could add a new dimension to our style of play."
