After committing his long-term future to Wanderers, Darren Pratley was named as club captain in the summer of 2015

The midfielder, who joined Bolton ahead of the 2011/12 season on a free transfer after his contract with Swansea City expired.

Making made 199 appearances during a five-year spell with the Welsh outfit, scoring 31 goals, his last outing for the Swans was in the npower Championship play-off final win over Reading at Wembley that secured the club’s promotion to the Premier League.

Before his days at the Liberty Stadium, London-born Pratley progressed through the youth setup at Fulham, before enjoying regular first team football out on loan with Brentford.

A regular when fit since making the move to Bolton, he scored his first Wanderers goal against his Swansea in the 2-1 FA Cup Fourth Round victory in January 2011.

Also on the scoresheet in each of the Whites' opening two Championship fixtures of the 2013/14 campaign, a shoulder injury suffered against Watford in February 2014 saw his campaign ended prematurely. 

Returning to fitness in time for the start of the 2014/15 season, he scored four goals in six appearances over the festive period as Bolton enjoyed their best run of the campaign only for a hamstring injury suffered in late January to stop him in his tracks.

Making 39 appearances during the 2015/16 season, Pratley is currently sidelined after fracturing his leg against Sheffield United on the opening day of the 2016/17 campaign.
