Marvin Sordell signed for Bolton in a £3m deal on transfer deadline day in January 2012.

The 21-year-old put in some eye-catching displays for Watford in the npower Championship, scoring ten goals in the first half of the season for the Hornets, with those goals following the previous season’s haul of 15.

In total the youngster averaged a goal every three games for the Vicarage Road outfit, as well as scoring on debut for both England under-20s and the under-21s to enhance his reputation as one of the country’s brightest prospects.

He started out in Fulham’s academy but signed his first pro contract with Watford in the opening game of the 2009/10 campaign and scored his first goal 10 days later in a Carling Cup tie against Leeds.

Sordell signed a three and a half year contract which will keep him at the club until the summer of 2015.
