Following a successful loan spell with the club in the second half of the 2013/14 campaign, Liam Trotter agreed a permanent three-year deal with the club in July 2014.

A relatively experienced figure in the game having spent almost eight years playing Championship football, Trotter started out his career with his hometown club of Ipswich Town as a youngster and went on to make his professional debut for the Tractor Boys.

Following a number of loan spells with Millwall, Grimsby Town and Scunthorpe United however, Trotter made the move to pastures new in the summer of 2010 with The Den his next port of call.

A key member of the Lions' first team squad for the past three-and-a-half years, the midfielder has made 138 appearances and scored 24 goals for the south east London outfit.
