Moving to Macron Stadium on a free transfer, Beevers became the club’s second signing of the summer when he arrived on July 3.

A stalwart of Millwall’s backline in recent seasons, the defender put pen-to-paper on a two-year deal at Macron Stadium.

Born in Barnsley, the 26-year-old started his career with Sheffield Wednesday and was a member of the Owls side that won promotion to the Sky Bet Championship during the 2011/12 campaign, having suffered relegation to the third tier two seasons earlier.

Following loan spells with MK Dons and Millwall, the former England Under-19s international joined the Lions permanently in January 2013.

On the scoresheet in last season’s Sky Bet League One Play-Off Final, Beevers was unable to help the London outfit secure an immediate return to the second tier as they fell to a 3-1 defeat against Barnsley at Wembley.

Handed his Wanderers debut on the opening day of the season against Sheffield United, the defender has already formed a formidable partnership at the back next to David Wheater.

An ever-present during the opening six weeks of the campaign, Beevers fired home his first Bolton goal against MK Dons in September 2016.
