Born and raised in Sierra Leone, Mohamed Kamara joined the club in January 2013 from Partizan Belgrade on a three-and-a-half year deal.

Having started out his career with FC Kallon, a move to Finland followed where he went on to spend four years with Kuopion Palloseura and Helsingin Jalkapalloklubi (HJK), winning one league title and two domestic cups in the process.

His success in Finland led to Serbian side Partizan Belgrade securing his services in the summer of 2010, with the midfielder going on to win two league titles, a Serbian Cup and also enjoying Champions League football during his stint with the club.
