Manager Looks Ahead To Crawley

Owen Coyle says he will make changes to his team for Tuesday's Capital One Cup tie

Owen Coyle has revealed that he will make a number changes to his starting line-up for Tuesday’s tie against Crawley Town, although emphasising at same time that Bolton's League One opponents will not be taken lightly.

Wanderers begin their Capital One Cup quest at the second round stage, with a trip to the 6,000 capacity Broadfield Stadium in West Sussex.

The Reds have enjoyed back-to-back promotions in the last two seasons, firstly winning the Conference title in 2010/11 before following that up with a third-place finish in League Two last season.

But Coyle sees Tuesday’s tie at Broadhill Stadium as an opportunity to give important game time to some of his players who haven't been involved in the first three matches of the season.

“Certainly there will be no complacency on our part when we face Crawley on Tuesday,” he explained.

“They are very much a club on the up and the owner has real ambitions. We will not underestimate them as opponents.

“It has been a busy first week of the season - this is our fourth game in ten days, so I will be looking to freshen things up.

“The tie offers us the chance to give a run out to players who haven't featured yet. They will be fresh and this is a good opportunity for them to push their claim for a regular starting place.

“We have looked at having two players for each position this season and that is good for competition and gives us options in our cup campaigns.”

Don’t forget – live commentary of Tuesday’s cup tie will be available on Wanderers Player, direct from the press box at Broadfield Stadium. The broadcast starts at 7.15pm.
