Fabrice Muamba Book Launch

Autobiography 'I'm Still Standing' available for purchase from Bolton Central on Friday 2 November

Former Bolton midfielder Fabrice Muamba's autobiography ‘I’m Still Standing’ will be available for purchase from Bolton Central on Monday 5 November.

The book details Fabrice's life story, recalling his early years in the Republic of Congo, moving to England, establishing a career in football and the extraordinary events of White Hart Lane in March of this year.

Although it is Fabrice's cardiac arrest and his wonderful resurgence that has brought him into the public eye, the truth is that he had already lived a remarkable life prior to his collapse.

Born in Kinshasa, Fabrice was brought up surrounded by the terror of a civil war and without a father who was forced to flee to the UK in 1994 as a political refugee. Fabrice was not reunited with him until 1999 when he moved to London aged 11.

This schoolboy, who could not speak a word of English, then displayed the kind of strength and faith that would become his hallmark, achieving ten GCSEs before swiftly rising to the top of the English game, firstly with Arsenal and Birmingham City before his final spell at Bolton.

A life-affirming tale, this incredible book will surprise and fascinate any Bolton Wanderers supporter.

Supporters will be able to get their hands on the book, priced £12.99, on Monday 5 November from 9am by purchasing it from Bolton Central.
