Young midfielder called up to England Under-18 squad for international with Italy
Academy youngster Luke Woodland has been named in the England Under-18 squad for the upcoming international with Italy on Wednesday 24 October, at Mansfield Town.
The central midfielder has played a pivotal role in the early-season success of the Wanderers’ under-18 side, led by David Lee and Tony Kelly, who currently sit top of the Under-18 Premier League Group One.
The 17-year-old has represented England at under-17, and under-16 level, and will now get his chance to impress boss Noel Blake in his first international match at this age group.
