First Lofthouse Reveal To Be Unveiled

The first of two bronze reveals to be unveiled at upcoming event

Bolton Wanderers are set to unveil the first of two bronze reveals that are to be located alongside the main statue that will honour club legend Nat Lofthouse.

Sculptor Sean Hedges-Quinn has completed the first reveal of Nat holding aloft the FA Cup with the winning 1958 team around him, and this will be shown to the public at a special event in the Lion of Vienna Suite on Thursday 27 September at 7.30pm.

Fans will also have the opportunity to listen to sculptor Hedges-Quinn talk about how he is going about completing his work on the entire project.

A number of special guests are also expected to be in attendance, with individuals to be confirmed in the near future.

Dunscar Brewery will also be present at the event to discuss the production of two special editions brews – Lofthouse and Lion of Vienna, with limited edition gift packs of the two beers and an engraved glass available for purchase.

Entrance to the event is free of charge, but people will be encouraged to donate to the Nat Lofthouse Memorial Fund on the night.

Club chaplain Phil Mason said: “We want the people of the town to be the first to be able to see this iconic image that has been produced by the sculptor on what will be a special night in the Lion of Vienna Suite.”
