Sierra Leone international determined to make an impact following deadline day move
Medo Kamara was delighted to join Wanderers on transfer deadline day in January, and after a first week in training with his new team-mates can't wait for his first taste of match action.
The Sierra Leone international moved to Bolton from Partizan Belgrade on a three-and-a-half year deal last Thursday, but has not featured in a competitive game since the beginning of November due to the Serbian league's winter break.
The 25-year-old has completed his first week at Euxton and has been encouraged by what he has seen, as he now hopes to continue his incredible winning run with the Trotters.
“I want to win,” Medo said. “Every club I have been at I have been a winner, and I don’t see why it shouldn’t be exactly the same here at Bolton.
“I like to win and that is my ambition. The lads know that we need to work together to help bring the club back up and I believe that with the coach we have that we will do that.
“The lads have been great since I arrived and I am very happy to be with Bolton. I have been settling in well and I can’t wait to get out on the pitch.
“I am an aggressive player who likes to try and tackle and push forward. That is what I will be trying to do more here for the team.
“I don’t know if it will take me a while to get used to the English game, but the lads have been brilliant and I believe that I can get used to it quickly.
“I don’t believe it will be that different, football is football. There will be a different style of play but I think that the Championship is more aggressive and physical, but I think I will do well in it.
“When the manager spoke to me it was clear that he knew a lot about me and believes in me. I believe that I can now learn a lot from the manager, so it was an easy choice to come to Bolton.
“I am young and I want to win. I want to show the fans what I can do. I want to satisfy the club and make the fans happy and I will be trying my best to help get Bolton winning.
“I believe that it is never too late. We just have to work hard and get a couple of wins and we will get back on track. We just need to work together and hopefully we can start moving in the right direction.”
