Davies making positive progress

Midfielder continuing to step up his rehab work

Mark Davies continues to make positive strides in his recovery from injury, the club’s head of sports performance Mark Leather has revealed.

The midfielder has been out of action since suffering a knee injury in a league game against Peterborough last February.

Though in recent weeks the 25-year-old has been showing positive and encouraging signs in his recent rehabilitation work.

Speaking at the club’s Fans Forum event, Leather said: “Mark Davies saw a specialist and had an operation on his knee five weeks ago. He was given the all-clear to push on with his rehab and treatment and that’s what he has been doing.

“These kinds of injuries are complex. At this moment, following his surgery, he isn’t able to do too much aggressive rehabilitation.

“We’re probably looking at a return to full training at around about the late November early December time.

“The main thing is that he isn’t rushed back and there’s absolutely no pressure to throw players back into the fray before they are ready.”
