Defender leaves the club after a mutual agreement was reached to cancel his contract

Bolton Wanderers can announce that Sam Ricketts has left the club after a mutual agreement was reached to cancel the player’s contract.

Ricketts, 31, has been with Bolton since the summer of 2009 when he signed from Hull City for an undisclosed fee. He made a total of 114 appearances for Wanderers, scoring a single goal.

Bolton Wanderers would like to thank Sam for his services to the club and wishes him well in his future endeavours.
