Bolton to face Betis

Wanderers to face Spanish side at the Reebok on Friday 26 July

Bolton Wanderers have added a home fixture to their pre-season schedule, with Spanish side Real Betis set to visit the Reebok Stadium.

The game will take place on Friday 26 July and will kick-off at 8pm.

Real Betis, based in the southern Andalusia region of Spain, finished their most recent league campaign in seventh position, qualifying for the Europa League in the process.

Currently managed by Pepe Mel and famed for their green and white playing colours, Betis have won the Spanish league title on one occasion, in the 1934/35 season.

The club once held the world transfer record fee, when they splashed £21.5million on Sao Paulo’s Brazilian winger Denilson in 1998. Some ten years later World Cup-winner Denilson had a trial period at Bolton.

Admission details for the fixture will be announced in due course.
