Sordell gets U21 call

Striker called up for next month's UEFA European Championship tournament in Israel

Marvin Sordell has been called up to the England Under-21 squad for this summer’s UEFA European Championship tournament in Israel.

The eight-team competition gets underway for the Three Lions’ on 5 June in Tel Aviv, with an opening group game against Italy.

Sordell is one of three forwards listed in Stuart Pearce’s 23-man squad, whilst there is also a place for ex-Bolton loanee Craig Dawson.
