Moritz set to return

Midfielder in contention for clash against the Owls

Andre Moritz is available for selection ahead of this weekend’s clash with Sheffield Wednesday.

The midfielder has been sidelined for a month after suffering a slight tear in his groin against Leeds United, but the 27-year-old is in contention to feature against the Owls this Saturday.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference, manager Dougie Freedman admitted that the Brazilian's return will add another dimension to his side’s play as they go in search of a first home victory of the season.

“He’s trained for the last ten games and will be in the squad for the weekend’s game,” the Scot explained. “He’s raring to go – he’s someone we’ve missed at home, especially when we’ve needed somebody who can open the door up."

He added: “When we played against Yeovil, it was pretty much one way traffic for long periods of the game and we just needed that bit of quality that he’s got.

“He’s been missed and could feature at some stage during the game.”
