Loan watch: Debut for Eaves

Striker appears as a second half sub in draw at Walsall

Two Bolton Wanderers players were in action for their respective loan clubs throughout the course of the weekend’s games.

Marvin Sordell appeared as a second half substitute in Charlton Athletic’s 1-0 home defeat against Millwall.

In League One, Tom Eaves made his debut for Rotherham in their 1-1 draw away at Walsall. The striker’s loan to the Millers had been confirmed earlier in the day and he came on from the bench to play the final 22 minutes at the Bescot Stadium.

North of the border Gary Fraser was an unused substitute for Partick Thistle in a 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock.

As part of the two clubs’ loan agreement, Keith Andrews was ineligible for the weekend’s game between Brighton and Bolton.
